Jehan Daruvala came fifth and fourth in round 2 of the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC at the Silverstone circuit in the United Kingdom last weekend.
The Sahara Force India Academy driver finished sixth out of 24 drivers in qualifying session one and did one better in session two, according to a release from the driver’s management.
Race one saw Daruvala aggressively move down the inside of Keeffe. Keeffe slammed the door shut and the two made contact. Keeffe had to retire, while Daruvala suffered front wing damage but managed to eventually finish the race in fifth place.
Daruvala made a good start in Race two and held his fifth place. On lap three, Daruvala was all over the rear of Race 1 winner – Max Defourny. Daruvala, then, made a move on the outside of Defourny into a sharp, downhill left-hander. In what was an overtaking move, Daruvala moved into fourth.
Daruvala’s next race will be at the Monaco Street Circuit on May 28-29.
